  “It was about 2002 when I became aware of the Leeds Marquetry Group, but it wasn’t until 2007 that I finally signed up for the Beginners Course. (The best way to get into marquetry).

   After finishing my first kit, I jumped in at the deep end and started work on the jewellery box with the tulip decoration. Needless to say, I had a lot of help from our more experienced members to get me through that project.

   Since then most of my work has been based around applied marquetry (decorating an assortment of boxes, clocks trays ect.), though I enjoy doing the occasional picture.”
