“I am the club’s youngest member. I am called Ben and I’m 14. I have been a member for 3 or 4 years and found the club, knowing nothing about marquetry, at Crafts for Christmas and signed up for the Beginners’ Course. I picked it up quickly and completed my first picture after the Beginners’ Course. There are many techniques and I have changed my techniques a lot since I learned the basics and there is still much more I can learn. I am still enjoying it and making and working on pictures. The members all help each other, asking for ways to do particular things and I have been helped when I’ve got stuck on something and everyone is very generous, giving up their time to help you.”
